Light on Form

“What light is that?” you ask.  Good question. Get enlightening answers to help you create impressive work.  Learn to describe 3 dimensional qualities and fully express important characteristics of the subject. Class demonstrations and exercises will shift the blah, flat drawing to a dynamic, realistic work.  Individual attention will gently guide each artist towards making better choices at the beginning of a piece to avoid a big “fix” at the end. Unusual approaches to seeing color will eliminate poor color choices forever. Turn on the lights and tune up your confidence.

(3 days.  Open to all skill levels.  Work will be done with graphite and colored pencil. 

Students will bring one of their own botanical paintings that portray at least 3 leaves.  A single subject with no leaves will not work:  an apple, a pinecone, a seedpod, a mushroom).
